Pray that he would stay

Ian is moving whenever he’s "awake." It seems every time I see him he’s moving more and more. The stimulation that he would get in a nursing would not ultimately help him to wake up, though. I’m convinced more and more that Ian is “in there,” but he needs the help of others. He needs the help of a facility like LifeCare. He would have to leave on Friday with only a three day stay (see Ben's post below). Please pray that the insurance company would approve a longer stay.

Thank you…

Steve and Ben - I join you in praying that Ian would get a longer stay at LifeCare. I remember Ian and you all on the "night watches".

I was reading this verse yesterday and I think it is very appropriate.

Psalm 46:10-11
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

God promises that his perfect will is going to be done in every situation. Not only that, but he also continues and says that he is with US; he is OUR God. Whatever he does will be the PERFECT thing for us. Our faith in God's ability to heal is based on his promises, not anything we have done. And as it says in

Numbers 23:19
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

God is 100% faithful. What an awesome God we serve.

Thanks for your incredible example of faith. Keep it up and keep praying. God hears every word and sees every tear.

I'm praying for you guys.

“Prayers are instantly noticed in heaven…Think not that your prayer, however weak or trembling, will be unregarded. Jacob's ladder is lofty, but our prayers shall lean upon the Angel of the covenant and so climb its starry rounds. Our God not only hears prayer but also loves to hear it. "He forgetteth not the cry of the humble."…wherever there is a heart big with sorrow, or a lip quivering with agony, or a deep groan, or a penitential sigh, the heart of Jehovah is open; he marks it down in the registry of his memory; he puts our prayers, like rose leaves, between the pages of his book of remembrance, and when the volume is opened at last, there shall be a precious fragrance springing up therefrom.” – Charles Spurgeon

Continuing to pray for each of you and for Ian's healing. Thank you for your faith. I can't wait for that heavenly day when our Father reveals to you in full how Ian's accident and the way each of you are responding is stirring MANY hearts to love and glorify the Savior more. Keep pressing in to God and the hope of the gospel. There are many that are praying along side of you!
