Lydia

While on a date at Eat n Park with Lydia tonight, I asked her what she's looking forward to doing with Ian when he gets better:

"Playing on his feet" (he used to dance with her all the time, and she would stand on his feet while he danced).

"And I wish he could come here with us and he could play and I could share my cookie with him."

"Talking to him."

"Play with him."

"Go on a walk with him."

"Eating dinner. I wish he could sit next to me at dinner."

I want to pray for these things to happen....Please pray that Ian would be motivated to keep working for us.

I too check this blog nearly every day, and continue to go to the Lord on you and Ian's behalf.

Your sincere faith continually draws my heart towards the Lord.

I have recently been incredibly encouraged by the testimony and truth shared by a fellow believer named Nick Vujicic. I thought you all may too be encouraged:

I don't usually leave a comment when I visit your blog, but I read your blogs almost everyday and get inspired by the beautiful messages that you post. My wife, my daughter and myself continue to pray that one day (hopefully soon) that lovely Lydia will be able to play with her brother Ian and also for Ian to be able to talk and laugh freely with all of you (us) again. What a sweet dancing day that will be. I have a feeling there will much dancing on that special day, here on earth and in the Heavenlies.
But as you have so often and so eloquently written Larissa, on the day of Ian's salvation the angels danced and sang His praises. What a grand day that was.
During the daily walking of this trial our feet may drag a bit. But, your words and lives give evidence to your trust and confidence in our Sweet Savior, evidence of a faith that gives your/our hearts wings to sing and dance at His Amazing Grace.
Much love to you all,
Sandy Kimmel

"Out of the mouth of babes" ....didn't Lydia express what everyone wants? Such simple requests.....but right to the heart of it.

Larissa-

I don't know you other than what I have read from the blog but I am continuously amazed a the grace God has and is continuing to give you through all of this. Your strength and trust in God spurs my own desire to have a trust so deep that it is unshakeadble in the darkest of hours.

As a deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in the procession to the house of God, with the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping the festival... Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
