Ian has been trying out his voice the last couple of days. Yesterday, Amanda, a friend who is a speech therapist, said that he made noise with his voice 12 times in one session when she prompted him. Last night, I asked him about the use of his voice. I said, I heard that you used your voice a lot today. When I said that, he made a noise with his voice. But, today, we haven't heard much.

"Today we haven't heard much". Five words that express the constant heartbreak you live with Ian. But, of course, you don't leave me there. You point me to good ol C.W. and I exclaimed, "Oh thank you Steve!" I want to do that in my own life but couldn't. I have been stuck in Psalm 88 (literally and figuratively), but wanted to be in Psalm 89. I am trying Psalm 89, but without much soul. I was waiting for my circumstance to improve...(which I know isn't what God calls me to do).
Murphy's, Larissa you are treading down the high grasses in front of us and showing us the way through this forest of grief that God has permitted in our lives and that His word tells us is for our good. I will thank him for it but I will persevere in suppplications to him that though this is His path which He has trod for us, He will make our paths smooth as He has also promised. Thank you dear friends, as ever your lives are beacons in the night to all who read the blog. I believe your lives are a constant incense of praise to Him. He is close to the brokenhearted, and I can see it in your life! Love, you know who!
The progress encourages me. The quote teaches me. I have to try and fit it on my desktop now. Hearing Spurgeon say that is so weighty, because he suffered so much. It must, also, mean that he received the answers to his prayers in his sufferings.

I enlarged your picture and saw that you named this picture “white flowers.” I believe that gardeners call these “flowers” weeds, but children see the dandelion “flower” and make wishes by blowing on them. A child may look at this picture and see it as a field of dreams and hope. An adult sees this field as a gardening nightmare.
What I love about these flowers are that you pick one flower and blow on it. It carries your “wishes” away and then plants approximately 54 - 172 seeds in the ground. A single plant can produce more than 2000 seeds/“wishes” a year.
The Lord wants us to come to Him with childlike faith. He wants us to be full of hope and know that the possibilities are endless when we come to Him.
Through our human eyes this accident has been a nightmare. But I believe the Lord wants to challenge us to look at it through eyes of hope.
People all over the world are encouraged through this blog and through what the Lord is doing in your family. Lives are being changed. The Gospel is going forth into all the nations. You are testifying to all that though your world has been shaken, you will still praise the Lord and He is still good. That gives hope to the hopeless. I believe many are being added to the Kingdom because of this trial.
I believe the Lord is saying to you all, “Well done.” I also believe that He wants to give you hope that each day will get better.
