Death isn't just news on the radio

Before the accident I thought death was just news on the radio, something that happens to other people or other families, that death couldn't happen to me or my family. But, when the doctors said death was imminent, I realized it is real and death could happen to me and that I needed to turn to Christ or I would spend eternal life in hell.

For those who have not asked the Lord to forgive their sins I would encourage them to do so, because you never know when you will die. You cannot say, "I'll wait till next year. I don't want to do all the prayin' and stuff." You need to do it now.

Praise God for His mercy in your life, Devon! From all I've read here about Ian, I'm sure he would say that it was worth it to go through all he has if it led to the salvation of his brother. God does indeed work all things together for good to those who love Him!

We are praying for you all daily.

Thank you, Devon, for encouraging others to make the decision to accept Christ. You don't know how much that can encourage a person and help them to realize that death could be a part of their life at any time. There are no guarantees in life and we never know when that time could come. Only our Lord knows and that should be an eye-opener to people who are living life as if it doesn't matter! If you want to spend eternity with Jesus Christ, please make the decision now to follow Him! It will be the best decision you will ever make! We never know what tomorrow holds......God bless you, Devon and your family and, especially Ian. We are praying for him and praying for the Lord to carry you all through all of this. Also, Ian is blessed to have a wonderful girlfriend in Larissa. What a beautiful woman in the Lord! I pray she (and all of you) get Ian back to how he was before the accident!! Keep your eyes on Him! He knows what you all are going through.....every part of it!! Sincerely, A praying partner with all of you.

Thank you Devon, sharing your heart is never easy. My heart is so grateful for you and your family. Your mom and dad are my best friends. I'm so glad we are all going to spend eternity together where there are no tears, no wheelchairs and no pain. Until then we have each other and our great God! You are chosen now remember you were bought with a price. I hope you will serve him like Ian. Your big brother is inside his head temporarily worshiping Jesus while his body heals. You do rock! Love, Leenie
