hope of heaven

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,  who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." - Philippians 3:20-21

We're gonna fit in in heaven. We don't fit in here because our citizenship is in heaven. (...will transform our lowly body) means everything. He can take our bodies and make them glorious like His. It's wonderful because he owns us and will make us perfect.

This makes me realize that nothing here (like my disability) truly matters. What matters is heaven.

You're only gonna have this body for a short time.

Thank you, Ian! So true. And perhaps our disabilities are really advantages that keep us from getting too comfortable in this world. Maybe they even help other people remember that this is not our home.

Well said, Ian! Love the picture, would love to sit there with you - just listening to the water. Waiting to go Home, as well.
With ♥ and daily prayers, Rene

Words of truth, Ian! I need to be reminded of this quite often.

Your story and this site have blessed me in so many ways, and lately you (I+L) have been in my thoughts a great deal. I hope all is well...

Thanks for the reminder, Ian. Sometimes life gets so busy, and problems get blown out of proportion. Your words help me remember to seek the Lord and His perspective.

God is so awesome. I was discouraged today. I was feeling akward and that I dont fit in. I was feeling sad that my flesh is tempted by whats around me yet I don't have a desire to pursue it because I love God too much (if that makes any sense?) and then I asked the Lord what I could read today to help me and he directed me to Phil ch 3. What I took from it was that I am to focus on Christ. Then a few hours later I get on the internet and read this blog about Phil 3. That was sweet that God would connect this for me today! Thank you!!
