I am reading that book now, and it is amazing! Thanks so much for mentioning the Elizabeth Prentiss book. I wasn't familiar with it. After looking it up, I can't wait to read it! I just ordered a copy through paperbackswap.com.

Larissa, it is no coincidence -- one of my friends calls them “God incidents” -- that Ann's wonderful book tops your page today. I have just watched the video about you and Ian on John Piper's page, through a link I just received this morning from Ann's blog, which was followed by a link here to your blog.

I have added “Ian and Larissa” to my daily prayer list. May God continue to bless your lives together, as you have already blessed so many by sharing your story.

All blessings to you, in all ways ...

just watched you video and subscribed to your blog...oh tears and a heart torn while standing amazed at this Grace you all walk in...allowing God to be God.
Oh and 1000 gift has help transform my life...and i read stepping heavenward to my daughter(she is your age) and then she reread it more times than she can count.
I will put you on my daily prayer list...and hold you before the throne of grace and mercy...blessings to you both~

I love that you mentioned Stepping Heavenward alongside One Thousand Gifts - both tremendously foundational for my growth as a woman, wife, daughter, etc... Thanks for sharing your story with us - praying God's great embrace and joy over you & Ian today.
