Well, I thought that I would do a better job at maintaining our blog after the busyness of the wedding had ceased, but as you can tell, that's not the case. I'm not even sure how many people are still reading this!
It's now been a few days over 2 months and I can't say that marriage has been significantly different than I had imagined (in a good way.) We have found ourselves to be really busy, so I'm looking forward to winter, when it gets darker earlier and I feel less guilty about pjs and the couch at 6 p.m.
we're certainly learning a lot about god, even in this quick 2 months. i can't think of anything that will make us more like christ than being married to ian, and that is the purpose of marriage. we had many many reasons that we waited this long to get married, but if anything, i would've done it sooner. i love being married to ian. it just feels natural. he's my best friend. we both wish this were much different, wish for no brain injury, wish that he had his dad back- and there is real grief and real battles and real temptation tied into that- but we are both learning daily to value christ higher than perfect communication, life without a wheelchair and physical ease.
god is good. and i'm glad to be a murphy.

I remember thinking that life would slow down after wedding planning too. Life definitely gets busier right after marriage. Glad you're loving it!

Still here enjoying the inspiration from your blog and trying to remember to pray as I do. I hope you'll give us a hint of who you're dressed as.
Ian is Peewee Herman and you are Princess Leia. High five? Praying for you two!
I am still reading your blog and have never met either of you. I attend CrossWay Church of Lancaster. I continue reading because your story is about walking out our faith in the best of times and in the worst of times.
And I read most of all because your blog coninues to bring glory to God!
I still read it :)

Larissa and Ian,

I am still reading your blog and you have convinced me to get John Piper's book "Momentary Marriage". Can't wait to read it! Your willingness to share and encourage others is awesome! Keep it up even if it means once a month! You both have a great message about the true meaning of love that this world needs to hear! I'm thinking you should follow John's example and write a book!
Keep on writing and we'll keep on reading! You're an encouragement! Blessings to the two of you!
still here Larissa & Ian.... reading from Sullivan Co. Happy to hear that you've married your best friend. It only gets better. :)
Yes Larissa & Ian I am still checking on your blog & praying over you two. God is blessing your marriage♥ Our 24 y.o. had a TBI on 5/5/07. I care for Laurie at our home with our 5 sons. God provides☼
Um.....I think that A LOT of us are still reading. You've totally hooked us....'cause your life is real and we see the light of God in your life. And your trials are real. And we find encouragement to keep fighting the good fight of faith.....as we see you are.
Much love,
Cynthia Haughery
Larissa & Ian--
I doubt there's a more encouraging blog out there. God has been so good to you guys, and it's so refreshing to read all about it. I hope you keep posting... I don't think all of us will stop praying any time soon:)
Thank you so much for writing. God's grace and sufficiency shine forth so clearly from the stories you share. Many prayers for you today - so glad I stumbled across your blog as I am reminded to fight for a deeper love for Jesus, a greater realization that this is not my home, and that our lives really come when we give them away. Biggest blessings to you and Ian. You adorn the Gospel :)
still reading... thanks for writing!

Still praying :)

Never stoped reading and praying.
Having faith in God and following his will does not mean you cannot wish.
God will bless

I was introduced to your story through Radical Womanhood. Your testimony has been such an encouragement to me and I often check your site to see what is going on with you two! What an amazing blessing you two have been in my life as I see a living testimony of the love of our Savior in action! Can't wait to meet you two on the other side!! Keep praising our Lord!!
God is great indeed. I still read your post and look forward to the lessons and inspirations that I get from reading it. I too wish that I have Steve back but I surrender to the fact that I am not going to see him again in this life and long to see him again in the life after. Steve and his family are in my heart, it has been more than a year ago that God has chosen to have Steve. As much as I yearn to see Steve next door again, but I surrender to the fact that God wanted Steve in heaven more than I wanted Steve next door. God Bless you all.

Like so many others, I still read your blog! It magnifies Christ and inspires me to love the Savior and others more. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. I still pray for you and Ian, and the Murphy family.

I'm still reading! And I've been led in recent days to share this blog on my Facebook page and with a friend who's trusting God in a difficult illness. You write beautifully and never fail to encourage me to trust God more. Thank you for using your gift and your life to bring Him glory.
