Saturday

We were able to all go down to the hospital today to spend time with Steve and celebrate Devon's birthday. Steve is very tired and it is hard for him to stay awake for long periods of time. I don't know if this was already mentioned, but he has been moved out of the ICU and onto a step-down unit.

Thank you all for praying. Again, we are asking for no visitors, as Steve is so tired. By the time the nine of us crowd into a room, it's stimulation enough for Steve (and the rest of us!;)

Thank you. And please continue to pray for Ian as he walks through this with his dad.

Continuously praying for my brother Steve and his lovely family. May the greatness of God cure Steve from his illness and help him be back to his lovely family to continue to be the ideal father, husband, family man, neighbor and the God loving person that we always known him to be. In God’s name I pray for Steve, Ian and their family.

Today, visiting Pastor Jon Payne spoke on this verse:

"The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." ~ Phil. 4:5-7

I thought of you all!!! Though it seems strange to mention such a verse to a family that is suffering so incredibly, Pastor Jon's message seemed designed for hurting ones. It is because I imagine you need all the encouragement you can get (our family most certainly would!!!!!), that I offer this recommendation to you*.

Continuing to pray, hard, in Denver,

We just got back from a wedding in the state of Indiana, have been gone since early Fri. Have been keeping Erin's I-phone and my cell phone text messages going constantly to keep up with the updates. Never was so grateful for technology, that even though we were so far away we were right there with you all in prayer and supplication. While driving through state after state asking for God's mercy. Will keep on through the up coming days.
