Friday Morning

Since last night, they've run a EEG to test for seizures and didn't find any. He did respond when they asked him to move his arms and legs, and he also squeezed my mom's hand. They're going to take him off the respirator today and and let him wake up (he's under medication) to see if he's alright, to see what effect this has had had on him.

If you need to contact us, you can call the church or my cell phone.

Devon's birthday is tomorrow, and my dad's birthday is Friday (the 28th). Pray for them particularly on those days.

We are praying. We are burdened for your family and are thankful we CAN pray for you. It is an evidence of God's power that He knew all along what was going on in Steve's brain, but now WE are all aware and can pray for him. The fact that the tumor is there or not does not change God's power or sovereignty, nor does His goodness or plan ever change. He asks us to trust Him because it is good for us to place our trust in Him. Praying that you all and the rest of us can continue to look to Him and trust Him completely.

I just heard this song on the radio & wanted to share it with you. Praying that you feel God carrying you through this...
-Lisa

"When I am down, and oh my soul, so weary.
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be.
Then I am still and wait here in the silence.
Until You come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.

There is no life no life without its hunger.
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly.
But when you come and I am filled with wonder.
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up to more than I can be."

The Kimmels so love the Murphys and are broken but confident in our God's ever present mercy, grace, and love. echoing what Mary Ann wrote.

Praise the Lord for protecting Steve through the initial ordeal.

My son has epilepsy, and seizures are not easy to deal with...but my son has been blessed and preserved through each instance -- with no severe effects due to the seizures that I can tell -- he drives, works, golfs, etc and has good mental capacity.

Will be praying for Steve and the family in the coming days....

Ben,

You should know how much we all care for you, your family and especially your dad at this hour of great challenges. I pray that you would experience a deluge of the love of Jesus Christ. We are certainly praying for the hand of God to touch many through these unexpected events. Grace and Peace brother.
