Friday Afternoon

This afternoon they let my dad wake up to talk to us. He is alert, oriented and talking! He is really really tired and cannot move his right hand very well. His speech is slightly slurred, either from the medication or the injury. We don't know exactly what kind of tumor it is yet, so when the results come back the doctors will know what to do next. There are still pieces of the tumor left inside, so they still have to work on getting it out, probably by chemotherapy and radiation.

It is good to talk to him, but it's not a promising diagnosis, so we need God to strengthen us, both physically and spiritually. Thank you so much for your prayers, it glorifies God when his children cry out to him!

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, Your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3

Dear Murphy's we are praying for you. We are glad for the good news you have shared knowing God has protected Steve. He will continue to be with him and you all. We are asking for a miracle.
We are coming to Pgh. tomorrow for an event and if you need anything brought to you, please call us. We would do anything to help you so you don't have to leave. It's not too big of a thing to ask us, you have always been there for us.

Ben,
We're praying for healing for your dad, wisdom for doctors, and that God will give you and your family abundant faith that somehow this very difficult time is a part of the “all things that work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”.

Thank you for the post Ben. I've been checking the site throughout the day wondering how your dad is doing and praying for the Lord to give each of you strength during this draining time of uncertainty. My husband and I will continue to cry out to Him, the One who fully understands what you and your family are enduring, the One with all the answers. Please let your mother know that she is being prayed for as well. It is so very difficult to watch those you love suffer. My heart aches for her as she sees yet another loved one in pain. May our Lord grace you all to be able to press on with your eyes fixed on Him. Keep fleeing to Jesus, the One who is a friend like no other.

It is so hard to believe this. I long for heaven... to be where there is no more sadness or pain, no more sorrow or suffereing.

I am stading with you in faith and prayer. You all are heavy on my heart.

Praying without ceasing.

Psalm 25
1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
2 in you I trust, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.

3 No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame,
but they will be put to shame
who are treacherous without excuse.

4 Show me your ways, O LORD,
teach me your paths;

5 guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.

7 Remember not the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you are good, O LORD.

We are praying for you...we are putting all of our hope in the LORD.
