Blessed

"Blessed are those whose way is blameless;
Who walk in the law of the Lord!" (Psalm 119:1)

This is the verse I was reading this morning. Sometimes it's tempting to think that it would be easier (and by implication, better) to not trust God. We have to fight against this thought, because while it may seem harder to trust God, it's so much better! "Blessed are those...who walk in the way of the Lord." Living a life by the truth of God's word will result in blessing for those living it. So let's trust God, believing that he didn't lie when he said His way is the better way.

And we also need to keep in mind that none of us are blameless, none of us perfectly follow the law of the Lord. But Jesus did. And if we've acknowledged that he paid for our wrongs and we call on him as King, we can get credit for his blameless life, so we get all the extra blessings that go along with that! Since Jesus was blameless, we have the blessing of knowing God and following his ways.

Thanks for praying (we have plenty of reasons to),

_Ben

This morning my prayers are for you and your brother. Hear someone say it better than me.

"Christ is like a river in another respect. A river is continually flowing, there are fresh supplies of water coming from the fountain-head continually, so that a man may live by it, and be supplied with water all his life. So Christ is an ever-flowing fountain; he is continually supplying his people, and the fountain is not spent. They who live upon Christ, may have fresh supplies from him to all eternity; they may have an increase of blessedness that is new, and new still, and which never will come to an end."

I so like the way you put that Ben, we think our way is better; its not. We/I think my way is easier; in the long and short run even, my way is so much harder and often more painful. Thanks for your good words

Just to take Him at His Word..."
Also, handsome batch of kids there in the picture.
