Progress

God has been very kind to us. I was working with Ian for about 15 minutes with his communication today. I had a board in front of him and would ask him questions. He had two answers to choose from and a spoon to point to the right answer with. He got every question right. This is something that the therapists have been working with him on, and their hard work is paying off. Some of the questions that I asked (and that he got right) were, where did you go for your internship last year, which tv show has jerry, elaine, george and kramer as characters, what month is my birthday, etc. But the best was when he remembered where we went for our first date.

He's in there.

Thank you for your prayers.

Larissa

God is so kind to give you all such an encouraging month with Ian! Our family has been praying for him. We're from Elizabethtown, and are members of Living Hope Church in Hbg.

Praise God. "Ask, and you shall receive; Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you."

God already healed Him.

Just waiting for the manifestation.

How incredibly encouraging this post is and yet, how much it stirs me to pray even harder for Ian.

How frustrated he must be to REALLY be in there and have such a difficult time communicating to us.

We want him back so much but I can only imagine that he wants to be back even more. He is working so hard to come back... oh let us not grow weary in praying...

Ian, we will keep praying. May the Lord encourage you and give you strength to endure this trial. May He help you to not grow weary and to keep pressing on.

We are still praying Ian. Don't give up.

Sweet Larissa,
Your message brought tears to my eyes and I praised God for that news. I see how Ian looks at you when you are together and I know he knows you and loves you. Your faith in God shines through in your actions and you and the Murphy's are such an encouragement to all who see you.
Glory and praise to God!

Sweet Larissa,
How exciting to hear this news! I creid with joy and thanked God for the amazing progress that Ian is making.
I watch you with him and I can see how much he loves you and I feel he can hardly wait to tell you.
You and the Murphy's are such an encouragement for anyone who needs to know how much God loves them.
I know HE is using you all to bless and lead.
I continue to pray for strength for all of you and for a quick complete healing of Ian.

While we all are waiting for him "out here", he has been waiting for us "in there". It is good to be in his world.

This picture stopped me in my tracks. I don't know Ian, but I know his cousin Jessanna. Since the accident, she asked her friends to be praying for him. I was in Washington D.C. with Jessie for a college class trip late last Fall. When we stopped at this memorial by these statues, Jessie sadly but reminiscently told me, "Last time I was here, it was with Ian and he stood in line and pretended to wait too." My heart went out to her and to you guys when she said that. It's one of the only stories I know of Ian that hasn't been posted here. Now I've seen the picture...so crazy. I'm still praying, now as much as then--if not more. God's answering--He's moved mountains since then, He won't stop here.
