Sitting up

We moved Ian from his back on his bed to a sitting position on the edge of his bed tonight with his feet flat on the floor. We had done that once before to try it. Tonight, while he was sitting with us holding him up, he worked really hard trying to get his balance. We coached him to use his feet and legs to steady himself both with his forward/back position and his side to side position. At one point he held himself for about 30 seconds while we were close by. Thank you, Lord!

What a strange thing to think about learning to balance yourself all over again.

Pray for grace for Ian to keep trying hard. Thanks.

Steve

Way to go!!! My wife would call these love letters from God. It does make you thankful of the miracles all around us(such as balance and life itself) that we take for granted.

Keep up the hard work Ian.

Praying and God will bless

Wow! This is hard to imagine! He's working hard, and God is more than able to give him the strength that he needs to continue. It's God's will to give him the strength that he needs....

Ian wants to get better. So we'll be praying for grace, strength and whatever else the Lord knows he needs to get where he wants to be. It's so exciting to think that Ian's will is coming out.

I can't believe he sat up on the edge of his bed....even for a short period of time. I'm really excited about this.

:) :) :) :) :) from Hershey, PA. Out here in blogland we shout in our hearts over little progress. You are doing the day to day in the trenches...sometimes the little progresses are lost in the overwhelmingness of the situation. So when you mention them on the blog they scream at us. Giving thanks to our God who is ever so slowly giving us the answers to our prayers.
