I Can't Think of a Title

Ian found his nose today and had a good time scratching it, as he continues to discover his face with his left hand. The botox seems to be helping his arms because they are more relaxed than before. I saw the inside of his left elbow for the first time since he's been to Childrens.

His therapists are now trying to get him to kick a ball with his left leg. He definitely moves his foot, but he hasn't gotten to a full leg movement yet. He'll get there.

Last night when David started praying for Ian, Ian squeezed my hand really hard. He's also been reaching for our hands more when we rest them on his chest or near his side. He's definitely aware of us.

"No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised."

Romans 4:20-21

These small steps seem so large when compared with what we were praying for weeks ago. We just want you to know that we are praying for you, Larissa, and the Murphys, and most of all, for Ian's continued and complete healing. Thank you (all of you) so much for sharing your thoughts and observations with us and for allowing us to be a part of what God is doing in your lives. God is not only working in Ian's life and in your lives, but in ours and in many others who have been touched in some way by the trial you are being led through. We don't post a comment every day, but we definitely read the blog every day as do many others. Our sincere love and prayers,
The Plain family (Crossway Church)

How awesome! I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like he is wanting to "wake up" so bad! I can't wait to hear the day that he does and how exciting that will be! Hang in there, Murphy's and Larissa and all!! God is in control and always has been, despite how hard this may be for all of you. He is aware of everything! I hope that continues to give you all peace. Keeping you all in prayer and especially Ian. Sincerely, A faithful prayer partner.

Though God is doing His work in Ian ever so slowly, it is apparent He is doing it. I am thankful to Him for his faithfulness and how you are faithful to show us God's goodness. Thanks for encouraging us to continue the "good fight". G.

I look with anticipation, more than once a day, to hear of Ian's continued progress.

One day, I hope to read the blog entry that says, "Ian looked at me and said my name!"

God is good!
