he's walking

  1. That is a tremendous miracle. May there be a conversation on this side of heaven where you say, "Remember that period when you couldn't walk?" I can't stop watching this. My brother is quadriplegic. This is beautiful.

  2. dearest larissa & ian,

I am always so encouraged by your posts and the great faith that you have in the Lord. I was especially moved by this video because my grandpa just suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on his right side. Thank you for being a testament that our God is miraculous and that He heals :)

I just wanted to let you guys know I'm a new follower. :) I saw your DG video a while ago and was so convicted and thankful for your example of marriage. I love that you guys are now writing about it! I have my degree in creative writing and I've never really thought about the genre of Christian memoirs. Any suggestions of ones you guys have really liked?

    In Christ,
    Lexy

  28. Oh, how I praise God. May He continue to heal in every way. You two are so precious! I thank God that He is still a God of miracles.

We're parenting nine older children we've adopted from Russia (would have been 13 except for the ban). Thank you for the encouragement your blog is to just keep clinging to Jesus!

Thank you, and especially Praise be to God for this TIMELY post as I have been encouraged with Laurie's progress and am comforted about your walking Ian! Since Laurie has been in a coma since 2007, and is improving, here is my FB post:Lots of Praises to our God!!! Laurie went to see her doctor. She was amazed at how Laurie can lift her head. And she is totally shocked that Laurie can click her caregiver Carmen's Kindle Fire. Clicking The Jewels (objects), and she is sending her to see a cognitive specialist to advise things Laurie can do, and also check her. She will see a fitting specialist about her wheel chair, as I need to lean back (when I was 40# heaver) to keep her w/c from wheeling down the steep hill in no time! And it doesn't fit her needs, or body at all anymore. Also Laurie is able to brush her hair a stroke!!! Her boils are almost totally gone, her eye lid which had a boil explode; looks so much better. She is talking about giving her Botox for her left foot leaning inward. And has me having Laurie sitting at the edge of her bed to train her legs to dangle down and her back to sit on its own without the support of the wheel chair's back. And she wants me to encourage Laurie to lift her head using her neck muscles. All this before the foot surgeon will ok her getting those two foot surgeries to allow her to stand. She will have braces on her feet (Lord willing). So much to pray about. Thank you for making a difference for Laurie through your prayers!
