I've never commented here before, but have been reading your blog for about a month.
I just wanted to say that I find great spiritual strength and encouragement when I read your blog. The sweet stories and testimonies that you share about you and your husband truly are eye-opening and filled with much love. Thank you for your transparency, honesty, and truthfulness. I'm always humbled yet joyful when I visit here.

Time ago you shared with us all that you decided not to leave Ian and marry him since you were sure he wouldn't have done it if you had had tbi instead of him, isn't ? I found it a so nice and sensitive reasoning....
Now You ask it to Ian and I find his reasoning so different, I don't dare to qualify it, but I do prefer yours.
I love your blog. I am a grad student studying speech-language pathology, and my area of interest is TBI and Aphasia. I wrote a paper on you and Ian last semester for my TBI class. What inspired me was what you said you in your video, that the two of you resolved that if Ian could communicate, you could get married. I have no doubt that God allowed Ian the ability to communicate, but it is my hope and prayer that He will use me in my profession to allow people the blessings that communication brings. I said all that to say that I love this post. As much as I love and am intrigued by the human brain, there is more to us than that. :) Praise God! Thanks for that wisdom, Ian. Please know that your story continually reminds me why I am doing what I'm doing. I am so encouraged by you guys, and recently engaged myself, I look to the Murphy's as a wonderful example of Christ working in marriage.
