i'm not sure that we have given an update really on therapy, since we were switching to new therapists. we did go to new therapists for a few weeks but are taking a break until after christmas. the therapists will evaluate ian again in january in the hopes of identifying new goals for him.
having a spouse with a disability offers constant temptation to feel guilty for all that i'm not doing for ian, either because of laziness or because i simply can't fit it into a day. please pray for ian and i that we would receive wisdom in how much we should be pursuing and also that ian would continue to make great progress.
thank you for your constant prayers

What a beautiful snapshot! How truly blessed we are to know that the Creator of all that is in that picture has us in the palm of His hand and cares deeply about our every joy and trial.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the update about Ian's new therapy. I was wondering how it was going as change in anything can often be difficult at first start.
Praying still-

Praying every day for BOTH of you. Luv, Rene P.S. Love the picture - "Peace in the valley" when we place our trust in the Savior!!
ReplyDeletePraying for you as always. Not knowing specifically what Ian's challenges are (capabilities vs. incapabilities), it is hard for any of us to imagine what a "day in the life of Ian and Larissa" is like and we can only sympathize with what you perceive as your struggles and failures. I'm sure, like a lot of us, you have much greater expectations of yourself than anyone else does. From your pictures, it looks as though you take great advantage of the beauty surrounding you and the sense of peace it provides. Rest in the Lord.

I pray most every day for you two.
