I've felt great comfort since Steve's death knowing that he has gone before us and that he now completely understands his son's suffering. All of his questions have been answered and he fully understands the purpose in Ian's suffering. When I think of what Steve might say to us now it is that all of this is worth Christ.

My heart has just been grieving for all you guys this past week. Be assured that I am continually lifting you up in prayer, along with multiple other Moody-ers. Oh how I wish I could be with you in this time. I just feel so crushed and broken for you all. The strength of God that you guys display so prominently breaks me. Your hope and trust in the Lord convicts and shakes me. You guys are fully glorifying the Lord through this, and that is so incredibly beautiful. Seeing all of you live with eternity in mind has challenged me to do the same. I love all of you with ALL of my heart, and I am so sorry I cannot come home. May the Lord show you His sovereignty more and more every day, and may you all grow deeper in love with Him through this.
I love you all so much.

Moriah said it very well. We love you and are praying for you all. Thank you for sharing your testimony with the world and for depending on the Lord in so wonderful a way.

Larissa, I have had that same thought. As hard as it is here on earth, I can picture Steve just encouraging us on in our race. He would tell us it is so much better than we could ask or imagine. Somehow, in God's mystery, the Holy Spirit continues to speak to the church through this. We are praying for you all in these difficult days. Much love, Sara B.

Praying for each of you.
Thank you for the way you have all honored the Lord by trusting Him thru this very difficult season. His grace is amazing and you have been an example of humble submission to his will.

"...all of this is worth Christ."
So beautiful and so true. Thank you all for sharing your lives with us. You've truly pointed those of us who read and pray to Jesus Christ.
I will continue to lift you all up in prayer. May His peace be with you all.

It is so nice to see that many others have similar feelings that I have toward the Murphy’s. I echo what Moriah said: “I love all of you with ALL of my heart”. I love Steve a lot, I miss him more but I am continuously praying for Ian and the entire Murphy’s family. God bless you all for sharing all these inspiring messages.
